Yunnan exhibition industry join hands with Thailand, Singapore

[InKunming--Exhibitions]  Kunming Exposition Affairs Bureau signed Memorandum of Understanding with Thailand and Singapore on January 14 in Kunming, which signified Kunming will cooperate in a field of exhibition industry with Thailand and Singapore in future.

"Thailand had established close communication with Yunnan in fields of culture and trade since 1990 in last century. In 1990, Yunnan enterprises had attended an export commodities fair in Bangkok, Thailand." said Yao Yunxiang, an official of Yunnan International Trade Development Association.

Yao also noted that in first eleven months of 2014, bilateral trade volume between Yunnan and Thailand had reached 920 million U.S. dollars. Yunnan mainly imported tropical fruits, rice, rubber, minerals from Thailand, while Thailand imported mechanical and electrical products, daily consumer goods, fresh cutting flowers and other things from Yunnan.

Principals from both Thailand and Singapore remarked that cooperation with Yunnan in exhibition industry could boost development of economy and broaden employment in their countries.
