Balagezong scenic spot, in Shangrila, Yunnan [Provided to InKunming]
[InKunming--Yunnan] Balagezong scenic spot is reopened to tourists since the beginning of 2015 new year, news from Shangrila government.
Balagezong scenic spot was formally opened to tourists from 2007. It is a AAAA level scenic spot in Shangrila, Yunnan.
However, an earthquake badly destroyed the only road to Balagezong scenic spot as well as some infrastructures in the scenic spot in August of 2013. The 5.1 magnitude earthquake forced operators of the scenic spot to close the park.
Losses of Balagezong park reached 260 million yuan in the earthquake. Reconstruction fee of the park attained 89 million yuan, according to Shangrila government.
After its reconstruction, Balagezong scenic spot can receive 5,000 people at a time now. Tourist reception capacity of the park has been upgraded.
