Border tourism to Vietnam revives in Hekou

[InKunming--Yunnan]  Three tour groups including 40 tourists organized by Hekou International Travel Agency toured to Pham Ngu Lao Street and Sabah of Vietnam lately. It marked that the tourist activity which has been suspended for 3 months in Hekou revived again.

These 40 tourists came from Yunnan, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Guizhou and Guangdong. Security forces were strengthened and tourism services’ quality was enhanced in Hekou, according to Yunnan’s Honghe prefecure government.

To better serve Chinese tourists, Vietnam dispatches higher professional skill tour guides and better condition tourist buses than before.

Chinese government issued security warnings for tourists after the anti-China violence appeared in Vietnam this May. The National Tourism Administration has issued three warnings for Chinese tourists in Vietnam since May 14 and warned Chinese citizens not to travel to Vietnam. Some Chinese travel agencies have suspended their tours to Vietnam since May 17.

As three months passed by, tourist activities to Vietnam revives. A security notification was posted by Hekou International Travel Agency. The notification stressed that a Chinese tour guide should accompany the group to take charge of potential problems that may emerge during the tour. It also stressed other items related to safety precaution and security protection.

Besides, the travel agency also established a contact mechanism to grasp latest trends of the tour group round the clock.
