[InKunming--Kunming]  Up to 20:00 on August 17, altogether 2,199 households of 4 housing estates in Kunming have been able to use natural gas after replacement. Households who haven’t replaced natural gas can dial 96107 to appoint time with service staffs.

Living quarter of Cement Plant, Cuifeng Garden, Chunyu Housing Estate and living quarter of China Railway Road were among the first batch of housing estates to replace coal gas to natural gas in Kunming. The natural gas replacement project was launched on August 15.

“About 95% households in the four housing estates can use natural gas to cook now. Around 110 households have not replaced natural gas yet, for those households’ hosts were not at home,” an official said.

He also reminded that, households who are to replace natural gas should ensure someone at home to cooperate with service staffs. They can also appoint replacement time with the natural gas company in advance.

The natural gas replacement project in urban Kunming was launched from August 15. The city was divided into 8 districts generally and 118 small areas specifically to replace natural gas successively. It may take 7 days for each small area to fulfill the replacement.

All the coal gas users in Kunming, roughly amount to 1 million households, will use natural gas at home by 2017. All the potential coal gas users that may appear from 2014 to 2017, about 200 thousand in number, will also be requested to replace natural gas by the year of 2017.
