[InKunming--Kunming]  The first Chinese medicine culture conference was held in Kunming on July 23-24. More than 1300 Chinese medicine representatives attended the conference and discussed the future development of the industry.

"Chinese medicine is a perfect combination of traditional culture and science. Culture dissemination can help to develop the Chinese medicine industry," said Xu Sheng, the general manager of Kunming Chinese Medicine Factory which is a Chinese traditional medicine enterprise with a history going back more than 600 years.

Yunnan's traditional Chinese medicine companies are meeting the challenges of electronic commerce, following the Online To Offline (O2O, a new business mode combining the online shopping and the front line transactions) sales model.

Zheng Jin, Deputy Director-General of Yunnan's Provincial Bureau of Health said that Yunnan's local medicinal herbs have played an important role in the domestic medicine industry. However, its medicine companies haven't opened up to markets outside Yunnan.

Experts believe that the coming together of the Chinese medicine industry and mobile Internet is an inevitable tendency.
