[InKunming--Yunnan]  On May 19, a total of 611 coffee farmers and coffee plantation companies in South China’s Yunnan province have received 4C (common code of coffee community) certification after third party auditing. This is Yunnan’s third batch of coffee suppliers to pass 4C authentication since July 2012.

The 4C certification, an “entry-level” but also the most popular management rule in the coffee community, covers the whole coffee supply chain, from coffee planting to consumption.

So far Nestlé’s panel of coffee experts in Yunnan has offered free training to more than 3,000 coffee practitioners using the 4C management manuals, forbidden pesticides list and Nestlé Agricultural Standard, helping practitioners learn about the 4C “entry-level” standard.
