[InKunming--New Kunming Construction] Yesterday (May 27), three wetland projects around Dianchi Lake were officially announced to start construction in a municipal-level conference in Kunming.
The three projects are Wangguan wetland (王官湿地) in Guandu District, Dounan wetland (斗南湿地) in Chenggong District and Shuishangsenlin wetland (水上森林) in Jinning County.
Wangguan wetland project covers an area of 715 mu, with an investment of about 326 million yuan. Dounan wetland project covers 1,585 mu, with an investment of 930 million yuan. Shuishangsenlin wetland project covers a land of 5,400 mu, and is predicted to invest 100 million yuan in to build it.
Wang Daoxing(王道兴), deputy mayor of Kunming stated that building more wetland parks in Kunming is in order to better protect Dianchi Lake, to prevent the lake from more serious pollution, and to let citizens enjoy more beautiful sceneries near Dianchi Lake.
