Yunnan-ASEAN trade volume on the rise in first 2 months this year

[InKunming--Yunnan]  Trade volumes including export and import between Yunnan and ASEAN in first two months of 2014 arrived at 10.57 billion yuan, according to data published from Kunming Customs this Wednesday.

The total volume had increased 61.6% comparing to the same period last year. Among the export-import volume, products that Yunnan exported to the ASEAN were worth 6.64 billion yuan, while the ASEAN exported 3.93 billion yuan in goods to Yunnan.

In the same term, trade volume between China and ASEAN reached 413.63 billion yuan, of which Yunnan only accounted for 2.6%, ranking the third in western provinces of China, and the twelfth in the whole nation.

According to the statistics, Yunnan and Myanmar was the first pair of trade partner in the past two months, attaining a trade volume of 4.54 billion yuan. Laos was the second trade partner of Yunnan, with a trade volume of 2.07 billion yuan, growing 2.8 times higher than the volume recorded before. Malaysia and Yunnan was the third pair of partner, achieving a trade volume of 1.23 billion yuan.
