[InKunming--Attractions]  Jindian Park is planning to submit an application for the title of world's best camellia garden to the International Camellia Society.

Up to now, over 50,000 camellias covering more than 1,000 camellia species are grown in the park with a planting area of 500 mu.

Leading both at the number and the variety of camellias across the country, made Jindian Park, which gathers camellia planting, exhibiting, breeding, sightseeing and scientific researching, a supreme camellia themed park in China.

According to Li Su, a chief of the park, before the application, Jindian Park will make for about one-year's preparation, including further expanding the planting area of camellia, collating related data, etc.

Camellia Festival 2014 & the 26th Jinadian Camellia Exhibition kicked off in Jiandian park yesterday(Jan 20), and will last until February 20.

On the first day of the camellia festival, various of camellias bloom in the snow, attracting lots of tourists.
