Malong County: a new historical tourism project to be built

[InKunming--Attractions]  A Three Kingdoms history themed tourism project was put into construction on Malong County, Qujing City on January 16.

Data have proved that Malong County is the place where Zhu Geliang, a statesman and strategist, prime minister of the Kingdom of Shu in the period of the Three Kingdoms, caught and released Meng Huo for 7 times in history.

The project is listed as one of the top ten historical and cultural tourism projects in the province.

Covering an area of 3, 334 mu, it is planned to be constructed in 5 years with an investment of 10 billion yuan, and is estimated to attract1 million tourists every year.

After its construction, 6 tourism service centers will be equipped, including dining, lodging, traffic, shopping and entertaining.

The site of the project also boasts its convenient transportation and location advantages. It is 20 kilometers away from Qujing City, 100 kilometers from Kunming and 80 kilometers away from the Kunming Changshui International Airport.

Dali ancient town: troubleshoots fire hazards

An ancient town in Shangri-la has suffered significant damage in a fire. The fire was proved to be caused by an electrical fault, which calls for concerns over commercial development and heightens fire safety in historic locations across the country.

Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, which has the most ancient towns in the country, troubleshooted fire hazards in ancient towns across the prefecture on January 15.

Over 300 out of 1,324 households in the prefecture were claimed to rectify and eliminate fire risks.

Haozhiba: boasts its first drive-in cinema in Pu'er City

The first outdoor drive-in cinema in Pu'er City was opened to tourists for free in Haozhiba(蒿枝坝), Zhutang Town(竹塘乡), Lancang County(澜沧县) on January 15.

Haozhiba is renowned for its beautiful scenery featured with rich ethnic culture. It was rated as one of the Top 10 Beautiful Villages in Lancang County last year. Around hundreds of Lahu people have lived there for years.

According to a local official, a beer street will be constructed in Haozhiba in the future. By then, tourists can watch movies with beers and barbecues alongside.

The village is about 30-minutes' drive away from Lancang County via the Lancang-Shuangjiang Secondary Road.

Malipo County(麻栗坡县): builds a military theme park for tourists to experience army lives

A military theme park was put into trial operation in Tianbao Village(天宝村), Tianbao Town, Malipo County on January 11, which enables tourists to experience army lives there.

Covers about 10 mu with an investment of 10 million yuan, the park provides services of sightseeing, relaxation, lodging and playing CS games to tourists.

In the CS playground, tourists can role play soldiers or generals in actual combats, which is of great excitement.

The landmine museum and the cannonball museum in the park collect and exhibit various of landmines and cannonballs that have been used in history all around the world.
