Heilongtan park to hold plum blossom exhibition on Dec 25

The 14th China Plum Blossoms & Wintersweets Exhibition is to kick off in Heilongtan Park on December 25 and will last till February 28, 2014.

The exhibition was originally scheduled to be held on January 1, 2014.

"The flowering phase of the plum blossoms is 20 days in advance than before, due to Kunming’s high temperature and plentiful rainfall this winter. The plum blossoms have already flowered in the park." said a principal of the exhibition.

This year’s exhibition is expected to have the most exhibitors, the earliest blooming time, the longest exhibition time, and the most complete plum species in history. Totaled 55 cities and organizations around the country will join in the exhibition.

Besides admiring the flourishing plum blossoms, visitors can also participate in 17 activities that will be launched during the 2-month’s exhibition.

Discounted tickets for the forthcoming China Plum Blossoms and Wintersweets Exhibition are on sale in 8 parks of Kunming. The ticket price will be cut 20% off, thus 16 yuan each person, in December.
