Center for China Studies in Washington D.C. of America recently published a report about 260 best high schools in China. According to the report, the High School Affiliated to Yunnan Normal University, is placed as the first on the list. Four high school in Yunnan are listed as the best 260 schools in China.

The report lists 7 qualifications of evaluation criterion, which are shown as below:

1 Rate of qualified teachers 20%

2 Rate of teaching faculties and surroundings 15%

3 Enrollment rate 20%

4 Study abroad rate(the world’s top 15 universities) 20%

5 Study abroad rate(other world’s universities) 15%

6 Average expenditures on each student by school 5%

7 Alumni donations 5%

The High School Affiliated to Yunnan Normal University（云师大附中）, ranking 37th among all 260 best high schools, separately acquires scores of 94.1, 92, 92, 95, 97, 95, 97 in 7 qualications of the evaluation criterion.

Kunming No. 1 Middle School（昆一中）, listed as the second in Yunnan province on the list, ranks 53rd among those 260 best high schools. Scores of the school in each index of the criterion are respectively 91.5, 95, 97, 96, 85, 85 and 90.

The third best high school in Yunnan province is Kunming No. 3 Middle School（昆三中）, which ranks 71 among 260 high schools. Scores of the school are 88.1, 82, 90, 92, 87, 89, 93.

The first and best high school on the list among 260 high schools is The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China in Beijing(北京人大附中）.

Other famous high schools in Kunming and Yunnan include Kunming No. 10 Middle School(昆十中), Kunming No. 8 Middle School(昆八中), the High School Affiliated to Yunnan University(云大附中), Qujing No. 1 Middle School(曲靖一中), Yuxi No. 1 Middle School(玉溪一中), Jianshui No. 1 Middle School(建水一中), etc..
