On last Saturday morning(October 19), 2013 Large Dogs’ Training Match was held at Kunming Police Dog Training Base. Kunming has held the match for 9 years.
A total of 187 training dogs from China’s 6 provinces like Shanxi, Hainan, Guangdong, Yunnan joined in the training match. Over 2,000 people watched the match on the scene.
The match held on that day contained 5 items, large dogs’ review, Kunming dog’s specialty show, Belgian Malinois’ specialty show, dogs’ obedience match, and dogs’ special skills’ performances.
At 8:30 a.m., match “players” stood on the competition stadium. Some of them were cautious, closing up with their masters; others looked lively and active, attempting to exchange information with other “players”.
Some star “players” were seen in the match.
The most calm dog: Qianqian
Breed: Straw yellow species of Kunming dog
Match item: Kunming dog’s specialty show
Qianqian is 1 year and 1 month old, with a height of above 75 centimeters. Its clean fur, strong and muscular body, and calm expression attracted plenty of audience.
Qianqian’s mater Mr. Wu explained the reason why his dog was very calm on the competition stadium. “It has traveled to many places in China with me, covering a distance of 10,000 kilometers and having participated in lots of dog matches. We can say it has seen the world.”
The most loyal dog: War Horse
Breed: Belgian Malinois
Match item: dogs’ special skills’ performances
Dog War Horse could not only accurately obey his master Mr. Deng’s simple instructions such as “sit”, “stand”, “lie”, but also excels in rescuing his master in emergencies.
On the site, Mr. Deng was bound and gagged by his assistant in advance. Then, Mr. Deng gave a meaningful glance to War Horse. The glance implied the dog to help his master Mr. Deng quickly.
After seeing the glance, War Horse rushed to Mr. Deng, biting out a towel that plugged Mr. Deng’s mouth and biting off a rope that lashed Mr. Deng. The dog successfully rescued his master in a critical situation.
Each spectator cannot help applauding for War Horse’s excellent performance.
A former winner: Lanbo
Breed: Belgian Malinois
Before medal presentation of the match began, a dog Lanbo had squatted on the champion’s medal podium.
The dog, 3-year-old, joined in a dogs’ training match in 2011 and won a gold medal in Belgian Malinois’specialty show at that time, according to its master.
For missing enrollment for the match held this year, Lanbo could only watch the competition stadium, and recalled competition scenes it had participated several years ago.
