An economic and trade fair was opened in Nansan Town of Zhenkang County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province on October 15.

The border town of Lincang has organized such an event for the third time, aiming to promote the Greater Mekong sub-regional cooperation and China-ASEAN free trade zone.

Officials from Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand took part in the opening ceremony.

Nansan Town, as a national second-class port, borders on Kokang region of Myanmar in Yunnan. A conference and exhibition center for border trade was built in Zhenkang County, covering an area of more than 60,000 square meters, with a total investment of 63.6 million yuan.(Editors: Ryan Li, Tracy)
