Until now, the operating distance of Kunming metro is 40.2 kilometers. As planned, six operation metro lines will total 187.6 kilometers in 2019.

So far, northern sections of No. 1 and 2 lines are under construction in the first period. Equipments’ installation in the northern sections are expected to be completed by the end of October. All testings, cold-running and hot-running trials in the northern sections will be finished before the first 15 days of December. And in the midmonth of December, the northern sections of Kunming Northern Railway Station will enter into the debug phase.

The first-phase metro construction in Jinning County is scheduled to be in trial operation on June 30, 2014. Besides, the northwest extending line of Line 1, the Line 2 in the second phase, the Line 3 in the second phase and the Line 6 in the second phase will also be on the construction agenda within this year.
