Eight scenic regions in Yunnan are ranked on the list of China's most beautiful forests and the most exquisite forest tourist destinations. It is selected by the website of China's Forest Tourism, the Forest Park Branch of Chinese Society of Forestry and the Netease recently.

The Gaoligong Mountain National Nature Reserve, Puzhehei National Wetland Park, the Wild Elephant Valley in Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve, and the Mopan Mountain National Forest Park are listed in the China's most beautiful forest tourist attractions.

The Baima Snow Mountain National Nature Reserve is selected as the best place for admiring autumnal sceneries.

Dashanbao Black-necked Crane National Nature Reserve and the Taiyanghe National Forest Park are ranked in the best places for observing wild birds.

The Rain Forest Valley Spring in Gaoligong Mountain is crowned as one of the China's best hot spring resorts.

More information about the 8 scenic spots will be presented on the website of China's Forest Tourism during September 9 and October 8.

Gaoligong Mountain is located on the boundary of Baochan City, Tengchong County and Lushui County. The nature reserve has an area of 1.2 billion square meters. It boasts its unique landscapes and rich biological diversities, such as astragalus mongholicus, pseudo-ginseng, gastrodia elata and dangshen.

Xishuangbanna's Wild Elephant Valley

The valley covers an area of 3.69 million square meters, providing dense forest and a variety of species. It offers tourists the opportunity to watch Asian wild elephants safely, which are exclusive in China. The breeding center of Asian elephant, proved by the Forestry Bureau of China, is also settled down in the valley.

Mopanshan National Forest Park

Mopan Mountain is situated in Xinpin County. The mountain enjoys a forest coverage rate of 86%. Rich biological resources and unique landform contribute to its ecological landscape of consisting mountains, waterscapes, forests, waterfalls, alpine meadows. The park has over 50 scenic spots.

Puzhehei National Wetland Park

Puzhehei is seated in Qiubei County. With an area of 11.07 million square meters, the park is famous for its typical karst landscapes. It is a comprehensive national wetland park for gathering ecotourism, leisure, holiday making, popular science and entertainment together.
