Excavation in Shilin Tunnel of Yunnan- Guiyang railway starts

Shilin tunnel is a part of newly-built railway route connecting Yunnan and Guizhou. The tunnel locates in Mile County and Shilin Yi Autonomous County, Yunnan Province. It is the longest two-way railway tunnel in a single hole around the country. The length of the tunnel totals 18,208 meters. Construction began in August, 2011, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2013.
