Tanglangchuan scenic area is a long but narrow valley in Kunming. It's famous for the sunflowers and cole flowers. It's called "Golden Tangchuan". It is about 42 kilometer from urban Kunming to the scenic spot(about an hour for self-driving).

The sunflowers are very beautiful, especially under the sunshine. Tanglangchuan attracts many tourists from July to August every year. The 100-mu sunflowers are in full bloom now, and will be withered next week. If you miss the flowers this week, you have to wait till next year.

You can also enjoy the local farm eggs, wild edible mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and other farm products near the scenic spot. Riding horse is an essential activity here in March and sunflowers in July have doubled the income of farmers.

By the way, you can pick up blueberries near the scenic spot.

In order to create a better environment for tourists, the local country roads have been afforested.
