Puzhehei is a charming land boasting beautiful karst land formations, lakes and the unique cultures of the Zhuang, Miao, Yi and Bai ethnic groups. "Puzhehei" means "pool of fish and shrimp" in local Yi people’s dialect. It is 11 km from Qiubei County, covering an area of 85 square km. It has been named as the National Wetland Park in 2012.
Travel tips:
-The best time to visit Puzhehei is the period between May and September with June and July the best time to see the water lilies in full bloom.
-You can find buses either at Kunming Eastern Bus Terminal.
-Driving time is about 4 hours to Qiubei. From Qiubei you can catch a minibus or taxi to Puzhehei. Costs range from 45 Yuan to 65 Yuan.
