Hehua Town in Tengchong County is an abundant place as well as a settlement of a few ethnic groups. Birds chirp and flowers smell great here. Villages are under the bright sunshine. More than 380 households of Dai people live with lots of egrets in the grass-green mountains, which seems like a land of idyllic beauty. The gift from the nature, people's attitude of cherishing the good environment, colorful ethnic styles lead tourists to experience the harmoniousness between human beings and the nature.

Hundreds of egrets, like white snowflakes, stay in the trees and bamboos. Some of them fly and some of them rest, leisurely and carefree.

Dai people living here have an unwritten rule: anyone who banishes or hurts egrets deliberately will be punished, because it is a sacrilegious behavior. A literary quotation is told about the egret in the Xianduo Village. Dating back to 1441 A.D., a general of Ming Dynasty in the history was stationed in Xianduo after he felt satisfied with the land.
