A potato carnival will be held with a series of activities on August 10,in Dongchuan District of Kunming.On that day, people can dig and eat potatoes,even the prizes of competitions will be potatoes.

Dongchuan's potatoes are well-known for nice taste. They are chosen to be ingredient by many potato chips factories. Furthermore,some people there become model of getting rich by selling baked potatoes.

Traffic: drive from Kunming to Dongchuan only needs 2 and half hour,by way of Kunqu Highway then turn to Songdai Highway.

Accommodation: there are many private hotels around passenger stations and cabstands,it only costs 20 yuan per bed,120 per standard room.
