Reshuitan, an outdoor hot spring, is located on the northwest of Lugu Lake. It is also called WaRuErKu (hot spring) in Tibetan language. The spring with large flow rate flows from rocks. The water is clear all the year round and the water temperature maintains about 38 centigrade. A pool can be found in front of the rock cave, and it can contain one hundred people bathing at the same time. People, young and old, are used to taking a bath in the pool, bareness. Sometimes, young couples who meet in the water date after the bath.
Tiansheng Bridge Hot Spring: 10 km from the southeast of the downtown of Zhongxun County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province.
Tiansheng Bridge is Baiqiongnao in Tibetan language, which means the bridge that padmasambhava has passed by. The limestone bridge was formed when Shudugang River (属都岗河) ran over an underground karst cave. There is a hot spring in the cave, and the spring gushes from the stones. Mixing with the river water nearby, the cold and hot water mingles, forming boundless mists. It is easy to find the hot spring rising hot gas five kilometers from the southeast of Tiansheng Bridge. With abundant geothermal resources, more than twenty hot springs can be found within one square kilometer and the highest temperature can be 69 centigrade. The hot spring is rich in several mineral substances. Tibetans come to have a bath every spring and it is said that the water can wash away worries.
At present, accommodation, bathrooms and bathing pools have been specially designed in Tiansheng Bridge Scenic Area. If tourists step here in spring and summer, they can not only enjoy the lingering charm of hot spring, but also appreciate the beautiful meadow.

The water temperature ranges from fifty centigrade to sixty centigrade. Lying in the rough pool, one can feel the water vacuole emitting from the body. They are naked and having a bath in one pool without any barrier inside. Sometimes, they also sing folk songs while bathing in the pool.

The most famous custom during the Spring Festival is “Zaotanghui” (bathing gathering) in Nujiang valley area. It is a grand festival with unique characteristic of Lisu ethnic group. From the second day to the seventh day in January of lunar calendar, Lisu people take their blankets or quilts and bring some cooking materials to gather near hot springs. After unfolding hays and quilts, they begin their seven-day life outdoor. They take baths, chat, sing and dance, which is very lively.
Travel tips:One is suggested to bring some sugar, salt and tea as gift if planning to accommodate in villagers' house.
