In spring, one can appreciate the golden cole flower sea near Tanglangchuan River. Besides, Caoxi Buddhist Temple is also famous in Anning. Enjoying a history of more than 800 years, Caoxi Temple is located in Wenquan Town (Hot Spring). The most eye-catching of your landscape are three Buddha statues, which is the rare Buddha statues from Song dynasty wooden building in China. The temple has been listed as a key national cultural relic protection unit.
Travel tips:
Take the No. 17 Suburban Bus at the Suburban Passengers’ Terminal on Renmin Xilu at Xiaoximen to Anning City. It is located approximately 28 kilometers southwest of Kunming city and takes about 50 minutes there by bus. The ticket price is nearly eight yuan.
