February in Yunnan is different from that in other provinces of China. While much of northern China is blanketed in snow in February, early spring has painted the fields of Anning in brilliant yellow, as millions of canola flowers bloomed near the riverside of Tanglangchuan.
Sprawling farmlands are covered with the flowers, which stretch to the horizon, filling the air with the refreshing smell of spring in early February.
Located in the east side of Yunnan plateau, Anning enjoys exceptional geographic advantages. It used to be a key courier station on the South Silk Route. Today, Anning is abundant in mineral resources. With unique natural resources, Anning is a holiday resort based on hot spring.
