The 7th Yunnan Musical Performance of Folk Songs and Dances will be held from November 21 to 25, 2011 at Pu’er Grand Theatre in Pu’er City.

The theme of the performance is "spreading ethnic art and promotion of traditional culture" in which intangible cultural heritages of Yunnan will be shown. More than 1,100 inheritors and folk artisans will attend.

Huang Jun (黄峻), director general of Department of Culture in Yunnan province, said: "it is not only an event featuring traditional cultural art, but a display of stagecraft resources of intangible cultural heritage in Yunnan."

The performance will be sponsored by Department of Culture in Yunnan province, Yunnan Ethnic Affairs Commission and Pu’er Municipal government. (Editor:Lynn)
