Citizens find that the management of sauna centers are strict in Kunming. One should take ID card to take a sauna. This has sparked reaction from customers.
According to Mr. Li, he went to a sauna center with family members this June. They entered the center to take a sauna without ID cards and stayed there until the midday of next day. When he came once again this August with friends, receivers asked for their ID cards. "Anyone without ID card can not lodge in the center." Li said that one’s ID was registered before only if he or she stayed in rest rooms there. Li saw signs, "lodgers must register ID cards, according to the public security", were placed on walls. But, the center did not loss business. "Around 11 or 12, the center is almost occupied. If someone goes late, there may be no rest seat." said Li.
Two men said that this registration system is reasonable. "Safety of customers is guaranteed."
A customer felt unreasonable, "If my ID is revealed, what shall I do?"
Reporters have also interviewed some sauna centers and found that most of the centers execute the registration system. Some small-scale centers also allow customers without ID cards to lodge.
A director of a sauna center, Miss Liu said that the center receives dozens of customers every day while fewer lodge there. "The registration system influences the business more or less." Some customers go to other centers.
According to a public security, Yang Guohua (杨国华), registering is not a must if customers do not lodge in sauna centers.
