A total of ￥50.398 billion yuan will be used for 83 projects of environmental protection during the period of the 12th five-year plan( 2011- 2015) in Kunming.

These are included in 83 projects: to purify water of Dianchi Lake, to spread solar energy widely, to use natural gas or mixture of gas and gasoline for taxies, to build a new garbage system to separate, collect and transport food waste, to build regional ecological areas and to reduce noises. Besides, natural gas pipelines connecting China and Myanmar will be constructed in Kunming.
