Kunming will build a financial accumulation zone, reporters learned yesterday (September 6) from a proseminar of the Kunming Development Plan of Finance.

Taking the opportunity of the pilot program on renminbi cross-border settlement in Yunnan Province and building Kunming into a regional cross-border renminbi financial services center, Kunming is going to develop financial sector with great efforts. According to the plan, Kunming is expected to be built into an international financial services centre that is based in southwest China and facing towards Southwest Asia.

The inauguration of trail operation of Yunnan Cross-border RMB Settlement Center and Kunming Regional Financial Center for Cross-border Trades has been held on July 27. Yunnan is taking efforts to promote construction of “bridgehead” towards southwest opening up.
