Ozone technologies introduced from Japan to clean up Dianchi Lake

The cooperation agreement of introducing ozone technologies from Japan to control water pollution in the Dianchi Lake has been concluded on May 7. High-level departments of both China and Japan have paid much attention and given great support to this demonstration project. And it is expected to set a successful example for management of lakes ' water quality in China.

The basic agreement for the project was signed by the National Development and Reform Commission, Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization and Yunnan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, while a co-operation agreement was signed between Kunming Municipal Government and China Energy Conservation Investment Corporation (CECIC), then the CECIC has also signed a co-operation agreement with Japan's JGC Corporation.

It is introduced that with high purity ozone oxidation as the key, the NAC system is the most advanced lake water purification technology in Japan. It purifies water rapidly by eliminating eutrophication substances directly from the lakes. At the same time, it adds dissolved oxygen of high concentrations to the water, which will speed up the recovery process of the self-purification capacity of various water bodies. It has a good performance in helping improve water quality of Taihu Lake, the third largest freshwater lake in China. (Editor:Minnie Mao)
